USB hangs at boot. Could need a BIOS update.

Most of the time this error is caused by having an outdated BIOS version. The BIOS controls the hardware on your computer and is encoded in a chip on the motherboard. Sometimes the BIOS needs to be updated in order for it to recognize more modern hardware, such as newer USB’s.

The first thing to do is upgrade your BIOS to the latest version. Usually you can Google “BIOS update for (your computer)” to find the latest BIOS update.
